Obituary of Donald J. Bombard

Donald “Duck” J. Bombard, age 77, died early Thursday morning, April 14, 2022, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday April 19, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Constable, NY with Fr. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Calling hours will be held prior from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. A burial will follow the mass, at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home. Donald was born February 14, 1945 in Malone to the late Claude and Bertha Tebo Bombard. He graduated high school in 1963 from Franklin Academy He started work right after high school with Sentinel Elm Dairy, then continued with Malone Dairy. On August 12, 1967, he married Judy Martin at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Constable. He last worked for Adirondack Energy driving truck, delivering fuel. He enjoyed working on small engines with Jerry LaPlant, and being at family gatherings. He was a huge Yankees fan and enjoyed being in his bowling league. He was always willing to help someone. Don is survived by his wife, Judy Bombard of Constable, NY; his sons, David Bombard and his wife Kellie of Malone, NY and Tony Bombard and his wife Charlene of Westville, NY; Brothers, John Bombard, Joe and his wife Debbie Bombard; his seven grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Bertha Bombard; his son, Bradley J. Bombard; his brothers, Bob, Leon, Harold, Claude, and Charles Bombard, and his sisters, Julia Charland and Alice Visalli. Donation may be made in his memory to the Constable Volunteer Firemen.
