Ryan P. Frary, President
Ryan is a NYS licensed funeral director and the owner of Frary Funeral Homes. Ryan graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 2010 and later from University of San Diego in 2013 with a Bachelor Degree in Finance. He later attended American Academy McAllister Institute graduating in 2014 with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. Ryan purchased the business from his parents in April of 2018.
Michael P. Frary, Past President
Michael is a NYS licensed funeral director and former owner of Frary Funeral Home. Michael along with this wife, Anne bought the business from Walter Briggs in 1986 and expanded the business with addition of a monument and medical transport company. Michael graduated from Canton ATC with a degree in Mortuary Science in 1985. Michael has five children Jonathan, Christopher, Leanne, Michael, and Ryan.
Mitchell J. Hansch, Licensed Funeral Director
Mitch grew up in Minnesota and graduated from American Academy McAllister Institute in Manhattan. Prior to joining the Frary family, Mitch worked for a funeral home in Rochester, NY. He lives in Tupper Lake with his wife and two children where he enjoys all of the activities the Adirondacks has to offer. Mitch manages the day-to-day operations of our location in Tupper Lake.
Zachary Curtis, Licensed Funeral Director
Zachary Curtis is a graduate of SUNY Canton Funeral Services Administration Program. He lives in Ogdensburg with his wife of 17 years and 4 children, ages 5 to 12. Before his employment with Frary Funeral Home, Zachary spent time in the United States Army for 5 years. He was deployed twice while stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI. After leaving the military, he spent time with his wife's family in Missouri working as an Arborist and later as an HVAC service technician. With a longing to return to his roots and help care for his family, Zachary and his family moved from Missouri and returned to St. Lawrence County, NY. Zachary has been working with the Frary family since 2018.
Christopher D. Harper, Licensed Funeral Director
Christopher is a licensed funeral director, living and working at our Malone location. Christopher graduated from high school in 2010 from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He graduated from Monroe Community College in 2012 with an Associates in Liberal Arts and later from SUNY Canton with a Bachelor Degree in Funeral Service Administration in 2020. Christopher began working with the Frary family in January 2019. Chris enjoys being on the St. Lawrence River, riding his motorcycle, playing golf, and watching football.
Wesley McGill, Licensed Funeral Director
Wesley was born and raised in Edwards, NY and was a 1991 graduate of Edwards-Knox Central School. He furthered his education at SUNY Canton and received his Associate's Degree in Applied Science in 1998. Wes served his funeral residency in Gouverneur, NY and remained working in Gouverneur for 20 years as a funeral director. In 2019 he relocated to Florida with his wife , Lori and continued working in the funeral industry. In September of 2021 they moved back to the north country, settling in Massena. In his off time he enjoys spending time with his family. Wes has four stepchildren and thirteen grandchildren, all whom reside in the Massena area.
Emily Bailey, Business Manager
Emily J. Bailey is a native of Morristown, NY. She graduated Morristown Central School in 2007 and went on to attend the University of Albany and SUNY Potsdam. She is an alumni of Omega Delta Phi Sorority and an active member of SLVHRM. Emily has been with the Frary family since 2012 and she has a volume of experience. She is credited for her attention to detail, competence, and compassionate demeanor.
Cassandra Fobare, Transportation Operations
Cassandra A. Fobare is a native of Heuvelton, NY. She graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 2009 and continued her education at SUNY Potsdam graduating with a B.S. in Biology. Cassandra joined our staff as an office clerk in 2019. She has two children, Emma and Elliott, and a Great Dane named Dexter. Outside the office, Cassandra enjoys exercising, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
Amber Compo, Office Clerk
Amber M. Compo grew up in Maxville, Ontario Canada. She graduated from Tagwi Secondary School in 2013. She moved to Ogdensburg, NY in 2020 where she currently resides with her husband and German Shepherd. Amber joined Frary’s in the fall of 2021 as an office clerk. In her off time Amber enjoys exploring the outdoors.
