Obituary of Dan Slater Smith

Dan S. Smith, age 63 of Westville, NY passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home. Dan was born September 24, 1958 in Hartland, Maine to Gerald Smith and Shirley Perkins. He graduated high school from Central Bucks East, Holicong,PA. After school he moved to Bombay. Dan worked as a well driller for Lewis Well Drilling out of Fort Covington. He enjoyed his pet dog Oreo, reading, listening to NPR radio and 60’s & 70’s rock classics. Dan is survived by his father, Gerald Smith of Gilbertsville, PA; two sisters, Carrie Smith Ayoub and her husband Ed of Boyertown PA, Amy Fuller and her husband Tom of Ephrata, PA; a brother, Tad Smith and wife LeighAnn of Quakertown PA; and nieces and nephews. Dan’s family would like to express their gratitude for the care and friendship that the Francis Allen family has shown to Dan over the past decades.
