Obituary of Mary L. Brothers

Mary L. Brothers, age 68, of Madrid, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Per Mary’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of Mary’s life will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Massena. Mrs. Brothers passed away at Highland Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. Mary is survived by her husband James, their children; Christopher and his wife Jessica, Jaime and her husband Art Webb, James Jr. and his companion Victoria Fayer, and Jonathan Brothers; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. On July 24, 1976, she married James Brothers. Mary was born on February 12, 1954 in Canton, NY, the daughter of Kenneth and Agnes (Blackmer) Taylor. She attended school in Claire, NY. Mary was a homemaker above all and for many years, she was a respite sitter for Sunmount DDSO. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing cross-stitching, crossword puzzles, fishing, riding around looking for deer and most of all being barefoot out and about around the house.
