Obituary of William Jay Phillips

William Jay Phillips, 64, of Malone died on March 1, 2022 at his home under the care of his family, Hospice of the North Country and his care givers Devan Deshane and Jessica Jarvis. A funeral service will be held at Frary Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Saturday March 5, 2022. Calling hours will be held prior from 10:00 AM- 12:00PM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home. William was Born in Malone, May 29, 1957, the son of Jay and Joanne Downer Phillips. He attended local schools and was a mechanic by trade. Mr. Phillips was employed for many years at the Malone Golf Club and later drove for the Franklin County Transportation Program. He was an avid NASCAR fan. On February 27, 1976 he married the former Helen Lamica of Malone, NY. The marriage ended in divorce but continued in an unending love. He is survived by his former wife, Helen Lamica; four daughters, Malissa Wright and her companion Donald Miller of Constable, NY, Marsha Fleury of Constable, NY, Billie Jean Phillips of Malone, NY and Kayla Phillips and her companion Robert Adams of Constable, NY; two brothers, Jack (Lorrie) Phillips of Connecticut and Herbert (April) of Brushton, NY; five sisters, Gwendolyn Rich of Malone, NY, Betsy (James) Whitney, Beulah Wilcox, Jill Cayea, Eleanor Douglass, all of Malone, NY; five grandchildren, Shelby, Cassandra, Christen, Stephanie, Jodee. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Jay and Marvin Phillips. Condolences may be made at fraryfuneralhome.com.
