Obituary of Marion J. Schumann

Marion J. Schumann, age 89, of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Home in Ogdensburg, NY. Burial will be in the Spring at the convenience of the family in Johnstown, NY. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Marion is survived by five nieces and nephews, Jeff Schumann of Ogdensburg, NY, Colleen Powers and her husband, David, of Syracuse, NY, Kathy Schumann of Ogdensburg NY, Charles Schumann of Ogdensburg, NY, and Mary Rishe and her husband, Allen, of Ogdensburg, NY; seven great nieces and nephews and their spouses, Aaron and Lindy Powers, Joshua and Kristen Powers, Joel and Viviana Rishe, Jacob Rishe, Joshua Rishe, Samantha Rishe, and Matthew Schumann; and several great great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Ernest Schumann, in 2017 and his wife, Elva (Ashley) Schumann, in 2013. Marion was born on July 23, 1932, in Johnstown, NY, the daughter of the late Ernest and Augustus (Sigety) Schumann. She graduated in 1950. Marion was employed at New York Telephone Company as an office manager for many years.
