Obituary of Raymond E. Stowe

Raymond E. Stowe, age 83, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. There will be no visitation or funeral services at this time. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Foxwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Raymond is survived by his son, Randy Stowe and his wife, Laura, of Lisbon, NY; a brother, James A. Stowe and his wife, Carol, of Heuvelton, NY; a daughter-in-law, Lori Stowe, of De Peyster, NY; two granddaughters, Krystal and her family and Alexa and her family and a grandson, Erik. He also had three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Raymond is predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Alma Stowe; a son, Michael Stowe; a daughter, Debra Crosset; and siblings, Richard L. Stowe and Shirley Roberts. Raymond was born on November 1, 1938, in Morristown, NY, the son of the late Leslie Thomas and Rose Alma (Brossoit) Stowe. He graduated from Morristown Central School. Raymond married Patricia Ann Doyle, his childhood sweetheart, on May 24, 1958, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morristown, NY, with Rev. Paul Hagen officiating. Patricia predeceased him on January 13, 2017. Raymond owned and operated White Acre Farm for forty-six years on the Black Lake Road, retiring in 2003. Raymond enjoyed hunting, walking, camp, listening to country music, watching old westerns, spending time with his family, and sitting in the sun. He was a past member of the Spruce Mountain Club.
