Obituary of Clint Hollingsworth

Clint Adam Hollingsworth, of Tupper Lake, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born, in Tupper Lake, NY on December 19, 1974, he was the only son of Michelle Hutchins and Armon “Tinker” Hollingsworth. He attended Tupper Lake Central School, Herkimer Community College and as an adult, completed his Business degree at North Country Community College. He married his soulmate, Alison (Lewis) on June 24, 2006 and they welcomed two amazing children, Lily and Cash, into their beautiful family. Clint was a well-known and well-respected businessman in the Tri-Lakes region, owning and operating Hollingsworth Carpentry and Renovation for over 17 years. He recently developed and constructed Sunnyside Cabins in Tupper Lake. Prior to establishing his own business, Clint worked for T. Lamere Construction for many years. Never to have just one iron in the fire, Clint served as a Village Trustee on the Tupper Lake Village Board for more than two terms and most recently was appointed the Town of Tupper Lake Supervisor. Clint was passionate about working with town and village officials to improve Tupper Lake. He had big plans for our little town and would light up at the opportunity to discuss how he could help make it better. He also served as the Judge for the Town of Piercefield and felt blessed to officiate many wedding ceremonies as part of his duties. Clint was also a gifted singer and musician, entertaining at many events with his band, The Frickerz. He was not just the lead singer in the band – he WAS the band! Such were the days, that if you were lucky, Clyde would make an appearance and you would know the true measure of his extreme love for life, a good time and his true friends and family. He also had a great love for the outdoors and each season brought another opportunity to make wonderful memories with the people he loved. During the summer you could find him on the lake or around a fire at a campsite telling tales and re-living past adventures. In the fall, hunting camp called to him. Spending time at Button Buck, Big Rock or Duck Lake camps hunting with his father and so many close friends were some of Clint’s most cherished times. Most winters, from the time he was young to his adulthood, were spent on the ice playing hockey. (What happens at the Chazy Men’s Tournament, Stays at the Chazy Men’s Tournament). When he wasn’t on the ice, Clint enjoyed being on the ski slope making memories with Alison, Lily and Cash. He loved his family immeasurably and it can’t be expressed enough how deeply he appreciated and loved his friends, most notably, his life-long friend, Adam Hurteau, with whom he shared a brotherly bond. Clint would be the first to lend a hand or even a bit of heartfelt advice to anyone that needed it. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Alison, daughter Lily, son Cash, his parents Michelle Hutchins and her fiancé Ricky Tessier and Armon “Tinker” and Glenda Hollingsworth, grandmother Sula Mandigo, mother-in-law Marie Lewis, step-sister Traci Goff, in-laws Robert (Cindy) Lewis, Natalie (Ed) McMahon, Monica (Steve)Gagnon, Heather Naegele, Tracy (Jerry) Fletcher and Jack Lewis, many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, including Melissa Howard who he cherished like a sister. Clint was preceded by his grandparents Floyd and Jane Hutchins and Robert Mandigo and father-in-law Robert Lewis.
