Obituary of Wanda May Demers

Wanda M. Demers age 57, of Chateaugay, NY passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Champlain Valley Physician Hospital. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Frary Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Wanda was born May 31, 1964, to the late Ernest Blair and May Riley Blair in Syracuse, NY. She worked as a nurse at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY. On September 10, 2005, she married Steven Demers in Chateaugay, NY. She enjoyed playing pool, darts, cards, being in the sun, and camping. Mrs. Demers is survived by her husband Steven Demers of Chateaugay, NY; three sons, Jeffrey Blair of North Carolina, Justin Blair of Malone, NY, and Chad Blair of North Carolina; a daughter, Krystle Blair of North Carolina; her step children, Cheryl Spoor, Penny Deno, Vickie Chapman, Cindy Chapman, Edward H Chapman III, Bryan Chapman, Brenda Chapman all in the Malone area, and Karen Flowers of North Carolina; her brothers, John Casey of Champlain, NY, Donald Casey and his wife Kathy of Syracuse, NY, John Smith of Champlain, NY, Kenneth Smith of Malone, NY and Kevin Smith of Malone, NY; her sisters, Bonnie Lord of Malone, NY, Debra Blair of Malone, NY, and Brenda Norman of St. Regis Falls, NY; a mother in law, Beverly Demers; a granddaughter, Charliegh; and several nieces and nephews.
