Obituary of Jean Ann Mainville

Jean Ann Trombley Mainville age 81 of Malone, NY passed away Friday morning, January 14, 2022, at the Alice Center. A memorial service will be announced to be held in the summer at the New Covenant Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home. Jean was born November 29, 1940, to the late William Trombley and Verconda Peets in Chateaugay, NY. On April 15, 1961, she married Elmer Gilbert Mainville in St. Patrick’s Church in Chateaugay. Together they owned and operated the Malone Motel and later the Checkerboard Restaurant. Mrs. Mainville is survived by her two sons, Mark W. Mainville and Bryan F. Mainville both of Malone, NY; a daughter, Melissa Ford and her husband Junius of Lincoln, CA; six grandchildren, Nathaniel and Andrew Mainville, Elizabeth Cole, Tiffany Connors, and Naomi and Myles Ford; and great-grandchildren, Nova, Lana, Cameron, Reid, Degan, Evan, and James. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Verconda Trombley; her husband, Elmer Mainville; and a daughter in law Ellen Mainville.
