Obituary of Janice Rae Spaulding

Janice R. Spaulding age 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. As per her wish, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Malone. Janice was born September 25, 1938 to the late Winifred Tavernier and Helen Gillett in Malone, NY. She graduated high school from Franklin Academy in 1956. That same year, she married James Spaulding. She worked as a waitress for her parents at Winnies Diner in Malone, NY. She also helped James with his construction business, being the Administrative Aide for Spaulding Construction. During the winters Janice and James enjoyed going to Cape Coral, Florida. She also enjoyed playing tennis with her friends, camping, and spending time with her five great- grandchildren. Mrs. Spaulding is survived by her husband James Earl Spaulding; one son, Scott and his wife Kathy Spaulding of Malone, NY; a daughter, Sherrie and her husband Jim Whalen of West Palm, FL; five grandchildren, Tommy Whalen and his wife Lora, Michael Long, Joshua Spaulding, Michaela Spaulding, and Katelyn Spaulding; and five great- grandchildren, Eli, Colt, Kase, Mikey, and Oscar.
