Obituary of Lyle J Avery

Lyle J. Avery, age 98 passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home in Westville, NY. A graveside service will take place Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Coal Hill Cemetery in Westville, NY at 10:00 AM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Malone. Lyle was born April 8, 1923 to the late George Nathan Avery and Gertrude Orton in Westville, NY. Mr. Avery worked on the Seaway Power Project in Massena and later retired from the Town of Westville Highway Department. On December 14, 1959, Lyle married the love of his life, Carol D. Lamb in Malone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his cows. Mr. Avery is survived by his three sons, Neal Avery and his wife Terry, Kevin Avery, and Kyle Avery and his wife Roberta all of Westville, NY; three grandchildren Trevor Avery of Westville, NY, Lindsey Avery of Malone, NY, and Zack Martin of Malone, NY; and four great- grandchildren. Lyle was predeceased by his parents, George and Gertrude Avery; his wife, Carol Avery; a son, George Avery; two brothers, Horace and Kenneth Avery; and two sisters, Doris Riding and Dorothy Grant.
