Obituary of Susan Patricia Bushey

Susan Patricia Bushey, age 61, of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Susan is survived by her two children, Douglas Bushey and Tanya Bushey, both of Clinton, TN; four sisters, Bernice Carville and her husband, Jude, of Ogdensburg, NY, Rose Schermerhorn and her husband, Dan, of Ogdensburg, NY, Nancy Ramsey of Morristown, NY, Kathy Mackin of Canton, NY; five brothers, David Ramsey of Sprakers, NY, James Ramsey of Ogdensburg, NY, Douglas Ramsey and his wife, Jean, of Ogdensburg, NY, Wayne Ramsey and his wife, Patti, of Ogdensburg, NY, and Lawrence Ramsey and his wife, Laura, of Oneonta, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan is predeceased by two brothers, Stewart Ramsey, on July 29, 2009, and Percy Ramsey, Jr. on February 17, 2020; a sister, Ruth Hardy, on January 16, 2010; a close family member, Terry Smith, on November 8, 2019. Susan was born on July 19, 1960, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of Percy and Catherine F. (Garnett) Ramsey. She graduated from Lisbon Central School in 1979. Susan first worked at Cedars Nursing Home in the kitchen, later becoming a dispatcher for Haskell’s Taxi in Ogdensburg. She later worked at St. Joseph’s Home as a certified nurse’s aide.
