Obituary of Marilyn Dumont

Marilyn Law Dumont age 84, of Malone, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family and Hospice of the North Country. A funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame Church, Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 12:05 P.M. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M.to 11:45 A.M. at Frary Funeral Home of Malone. Interment will follow the funeral mass at St. John Bosco Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Malone. Mrs. Dumont was born April 16, 1937, to the late Daniel Law and Helen Luby in Troy, NY. She attended St. Mary’s of Troy, NY graduating in 1952. On December 29, 1955, she married Norman M. Dumont in Troy, NY. Marilyn worked as a Nurses Aid at Alice Hyde Medical Center for 40 years, as well as the Farrar Home. Marilyn was survived by her two sons, Daniel Dumont and his wife Lynne of Malone and Donald Dumont of Germany; a daughter, Pamela Schrum of Malone; grandchildren, Chad and Tye Malley, Matthew and Rene Malley, Jennifer and Jamie Steenberge, Megan and Everette Andrews, Jessica and Dustin Stover, Alex and Emily Dumont, and Alicia Dumont; great-grandchildren, Connor, Cadence, and Cais Malley, Ethan and Hannah Steenberge, Brody, Tanner, and Colin Andrews, Mason and Nicholas Stover, Oliver Dumont, Kylie, Kenzie, Peyton, and Bryson Malley. She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Helen Law; her husband Norman M. Dumont; brother Donald Law; and a son-in-law Douglas Schrum.
