Obituary of Joan Marie Beaudette

Funeral Mass for Joan Beaudette, age 71, of Tupper Lake, NY, will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 2:00PM at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery following funeral services. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 11:30AM to 1:30PM at Frary-Stuart Funeral Home, Tupper Lake. Joan passed away at Adirondack Medical Center early Friday morning, July 16, 2021. Joan is survived by her mother Muriel (Laramie) Beaudette of Tupper Lake, NY; her son, Charles Beaudette of Virginia Beach, VA; her 5 siblings, Cynthia (Donald) Whitmore of Cranberry Lake, NY, Nancy (Steven) Conte of Palm Coast, FL, Gary Beaudette of Tupper Lake, NY, Andrew Beaudette of San Diego, CA, Erin (Chris) Klossner of Tupper Lake, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Leo Beaudette; and her 2 siblings, James Beaudette and Neal Beaudette. Joan was born on September 8, 1949, in Tupper Lake, NY, the daughter of Leo and Muriel Beaudette. Joan began working at Sunmount DDSO directly after graduating from Tupper Lake High School in 1967. In 1976 she moved to Rochester, NY and in 2005 retired from her position as Director of the St. Paul Group Home. Soon after retiring Joan moved back to Tupper Lake with her son Charlie. Joan enjoyed volunteering with the Boy Scouts, gardening, playing board games with friends and family, playing trivia, reading and especially spending lots of time with her great-niece Luna Barry. Joan was known for her wit and ability to make us all laugh. She will be hugely missed by all her many friends and family.
