Obituary of Ernest Erville Lindsay

A Memorial Service for Ernest Lindsay, age 79, of Malone, will take place Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 6:00PM at Frary Funeral Home in Malone, NY. Visitation will be held prior from 4:00PM- 6:00 PM. Mr. Lindsay passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Malone. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lindsay, of Malone; his children, Brent Lindsay, Marie Picaro, Linda Cooley and her husband, Alan, and Brenda Foster and her husband, Kevin, all of Malone; his brothers, Gordon Lindsay and his wife, Brenda, of Brockville, ON and William Lindsay and his wife, Joyce, of Prescott, ON; his grandchildren, Corey and Elyse Picaro, Chris Picaro, Brandon Picaro, John Picaro, Austin and Nicole Cooley, Matt and Amanda Cooley, and Jacob Foster; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ernest was born on February 8, 1942 in Huntingdon, QC the son of the late Everett and Leona Baxter Lindsay. He married the love of his life, Betty Hogan on October 22, 1966 at Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY. For 40 years, Ernie owned and operated Ernie’s Truck Service in Malone, NY. Ernie enjoyed being with his family, Sunday family meals, working on things only he could fix and helping people with small problems.
