Obituary of Richard Irving Webb

Richard Irving Webb, age 92 previously of Malone, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital. A graveside service will be held at the convince of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fray- Spaulding Funeral Home. Richard was born September 19, 1928 to the late George Edgar Webb and Hazel Nancy Harwood in Springfield, MA. Mr. Webb graduated from Franklin Academy. After schooling Richard joined the United State Navy from 1945- 1947. On August 25, 1952 in Huntingdon, QE, Richard married the love of his life, Marjorie Greta Farquhar at the Presbyterian Rectory. He retired after 34 years as a Lineman for the IBEW Local 1249 out of Syracuse, NY. Richard was a spectator for many Franklin Academy sporting events. Mr. Webb was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, American Legion, Friendy Snowmobile Club and the 1249 Retirement Club. Mr. Webb is survived by his two sons, Dean Webb of Malone, NY and Richard Webb and his wife Mary of Fitchburgh, MA; one daughter, Karen Myatt and her husband Dale of Morrisonville, NY; his three grandchildren, Christopher Webb of Baltimore, MD, Jared Myatt and his wife Katie of Malone, NY, and Adam Myatt and his wife Morgan of Clifton Park, NY; and seven great grandchildren, Aaron, Bethany, Adalia, Cordelia, Elyse, Phinehas and Terian. He was predeceased by his parents, George E. and Hazel N. Webb; his wife Marjorie G. Webb; one son, George Webb; three brothers, Charles, Oswald, and Leland Webb; two sisters, Pauline Woodward and Theresa Herbick.
