Obituary of Sharon Lancto

Sharon Anne Lancto, age 65, previously of Malone, NY passed away on April 19th, 2021 in Crossville, TN. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday April 24, 2021 at Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 8:00AM to 10:30AM at Frary Spaulding Funeral Home. Interment will follow the mass at St. John Bosco Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Spaulding Funeral Home. Sharon was born October 28, 1955 to William Jock and Erminie (Phillips) Jock in Malone, NY. She graduated high school from Franklin Academy in 1973, later attending North Country Community College for Accounting. On August 23, 1975 Sharon married Douglas Lancto in Malone. She worked at The Alice Hyde Medical Center as a Billing Clerk and later the commissary at Bare Hill Correctional Facility. Mrs. Lancto enjoyed bowling, puzzles, travelling, playing bingo, and volunteering for Hospice of Crossville with her husband. Her and her husband were members of the Malone Car Club and enjoyed their new Corvette Z06. Sharon is survived by her mother, Erminie Jock of Winston-Salem, NC ; her husband of 45 years, Douglas Lancto of Crossville, TN; one son Eric Lancto and his wife Melissa of Malone, NY; a daughter, Tara Gonyea and her husband Chad of Brushton, NY; three brothers, Gary Jock, Terry (Sue) Jock , and Tim (Saphrona) Jock; three sisters, Janet Johnston, Jean (David) Alsdorf, Laurie Heidel; and two grandchildren, Jennah and Bentley Lancto; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, William Jock; her three brothers, Darrell, Dale and Darcy Jock.
