Obituary of Virginia Hogan

Virginia Hogan, age 75, passed away Friday April 9th, 2021 at the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A graveside service will be announced at a later date with Deacon Brent Charland officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary- Spaulding Funeral Home in Malone. Virginia was born March 26, 1946 in Palatine Bridge, NY to the late Thomas Jefferson Russell and Dorothea Herringshaw. Mrs. Hogan attended and graduated from Canajoharie High School. On January 20th, 1973 Virginia married John T. Hogan in Malone, NY. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Franklin County Nursing Home before retiring in 1991. Virginia enjoyed spending times with her family. Mrs. Hogan is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Hogan of Chateaugay, NY, and Tina M. Pickering and her husband Todd of Lawrenceville, NY; her two brothers, Loyal Russell of Sharon Springs, NY and Gordon Russell of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Kathy Russell of Sharon Springs, NY; her five grandchildren Andrew Patterson and his wife Kayla, Dereck Patterson and his companion Morgan Johnston, Beau Pickering and his wife Megan, Meagan Hogan and her fiancé Josh Rowland, and Tyler Pickering; and her five great- grandchildren, Kyler, Elsie, Bennett, Drake, Amelia, and baby Oaklynn on the way.
