Obituary of Kelsey A. Schroy

Kelsey A. (Bedford) Schroy, 29, of Watertown, and formerly of Ogdensburg, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2021, at her home. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Frary Funeral Home, 515 Caroline St., Ogdensburg and also at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home on Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM on 117 North Massey Street, Watertown, NY. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Kelsey is survived by her husband, Drew M. Schroy; her three children, Kyland Bedford of Ogdensburg, NY, Prinn Knight of Leominster, MA and Brooksen Schroy of Watertown, NY; her mother, Erica Bedford of Ogdensburg, NY; her father, Mark Montroy and his partner, Judith Corbine, of Brier Hill, NY; her sisters, Kareen Bedford and partner, Lee Sovie, of Ogdensburg, NY and Kaylee Bedford and partner, Jessie Alexander, of Rome, NY; maternal grandmother, Elfie Bedford of Ogdensburg, NY; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Montroy, of North Carolina; great grandmother, Annaliese Peterson of Rome, NY; several aunts, uncle, niece and cousins. Kelsey was born on January 2, 1992, in Ogdensburg, NY, daughter of Erica Bedford and Mark Montroy. She attended schools in St. Lawrence County and classes at Jefferson Community College. Kelsey worked as a CNA at the St. Joseph’s Nursing Home and various other places in Ogdensburg and Tennessee. She moved to Watertown in 2018 and married Drew M. Schroy on April 22, 2020. While residing in Watertown she was a home health aide for Committed Health Care Services in Watertown. She enjoyed knitting, working out, spending time with her children, loved all animals her entire life – as a child sneaking in a kitten occasionally (meow gave it away) or a couple of hamsters that quickly changed to ten+ that all escaped into the walls, was an avid photographer and enjoyed interior decorating and design and crafts.
