Obituary of Elizabeth J Tremblay

Elizabeth Jane (Henderson) Tremblay, 91, of Constable passed away peacefully at home March 29, 2021. Born on May 25, 1929 and was raised in Massena, NY., to the late Theodore and Cora (Dupre) Henderson. She was a graduate of Massena High School and of North Country Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. For number years she worked for the former Tru-Stitch Slipper Factory. She was a member of the Constable Ladies Auxiliary for 50 plus years. Betty was active with Pastoral Outreach and a member of Rosary Society. She helped establish the Constable Adult Center, worked as a Director, and delivered meals. For over a decade she enjoyed being a 4H leader. Every four years she volunteered with national elections. For many years she and Roger square-danced with friends at nursing homes and other community events. They also loved line dancing. In their younger years they enjoyed snowmobiling and playing cards with neighbors and friends. She loved to bake, paint, and used her talent to create memories for friends and family. Betty dedicated her life to her family, church and community. On June 4th 1949 she married Roger Tremblay who predeceased her on March 27, 2021. She is survived by her sons David and his wife Tomi of Warwick, RI and Mark of Maitland, FL, her daughters Spring of Arvada, CO. Cindy and her husband Joe Robles of Arvada, CO. and Diane and her husband John Wright of Syracuse, NY. Her grandchildren are Nichole Michel and her husband Tim Michel, Clay Wright, Gregg Lombardo and his wife Molly Lombardo, and Michael Lombardo. Two great grandchildren Hannah Lombardo and Emmaline Lombardo. Betty was the youngest of 9 children. All of her brothers and sisters predeceased her: Ora Freeman, Woodstock, CT., Theresa Raymo, Frances LaShomb, Mary Meyers, all of Massena, NY, Pauline Tyo, Beverly Hills, FL., Earl Henderson, Raymond Henderson, and Herbert Henderson all of Massena, NY. Bronson Tremblay, one of her grandsons, passed in 2014. Funeral services will be held and announced at a later date this summer.
