Obituary of Michael James Palermo

Michael J. Palermo 69 of Piercefield, NY formerly of Ransomville, NY, went home to be with Jesus his Savior and Lord on February 17th, 2021 after a battle with cancer and while under the care of Hospice. Born on June 12, 1951, in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Florice (Fehrman) Palermo. An enthusiastic hiker and a talented artist, he also enjoyed playing guitar. Michael loved camping in the Adirondack Mountains, and spending time with family and friends. What he most enjoyed though was being a loving and devoted husband and father. Michael married Patricia (Patty) Croisdale on October 21st, 1989. The couple settled in Ransomville, NY. Michael, besides being a skillful carpenter, worked as a School Bus Driver and later as a Tour Guide where he enjoyed providing guided tours of Niagara Falls to tourists from around the world. In 2006 Michael & Patty followed their dream of living in the Adirondacks and moved to Piercefield. Besides being survived by his wife, Michael leaves behind his children Philip (Renée) Bodkin, Andrea Palermo, and Zachary (Amanda) Palermo. His siblings, John Palermo, James (late Caroline) Palermo, Kim (Anthony) Montecalvo, and Michelle (Steven) Hoffman. He was predeceased by a brother, James, who died as an infant. Michael was blessed with grandsons Sebastian, Benjamin, Lucian, and Samuel who he adored. In addition there were many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.
