Obituary of Esther Marie LaRocque

On Monday, February 15, 2021, Esther Marie (Jones) LaRocque, loving wife and mother of four daughters, passed away after a brief stay at The Alice Center in Malone, NY, at age 90. Esther was born on June 14, 1930 in Westville, NY to Harvey and Hazel (Robinson) Jones. She attended school in Fort Covington, NY then went onto work at Tru- Stitch in Malone, NY as a home beader. Later she worked at Halprins Dress Factory as a fabric transporter. On January 16, 1949, she married Wayne LaRocque in Malone, NY. They raised four daughters, Judy, Cheryl, Deborah, and Brenda. Mrs. LaRocque is survived by her husband Wayne LaRocque of North Bangor; three daughters, Cheryl Crinklaw of North Bangor; Deborah White and her husband Patrick of North Bangor, and Brenda LaPlant of Dickinson Center; grandchildren Stephanie, Sheri, and Chad DuMont, Cory and Kevin White, Melissa Safford, Darren Lamica, and Keisha LaPlant; and great- grandchildren, Hunter, Chase, Kael, Henley, Alexandria, Alana, Justin, Chandler, CJ, Colin, Ethan, and Courtney; sister-in-law, Rita Monica of North Bangor. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judy DuMont; her one brother, Donald Jones; two sisters, Margaret Vermette and Myra Copeland; a grandson, Shawn DuMont; and two sons-in-law, Paul DuMont and Robert Crinklaw. A mass of Christian burial will take place in North Bangor at St. Augustine’s Church with Fr. Raymond Moreau officiating on Thursday February 25, 2021 at 11A.M. with an hour of visitation prior. Interment will take place at the Coal Hill Cemetery in Westville in the spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary- Spaulding Funeral Home, Malone. Donations may be sent to the Bangor Fire Department. Condolences can be made at fraryfuneralhomes.com.
