Obituary of Leta Ruth Zerella

Leta Ruth Zerella, age 86, formerly of Constable, NY passed away at home in Tobyhanna, PA on December 29, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones. A funeral mass will take place at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Covington, NY on Saturday May 15th at 10AM with a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery immediately following. A reception will take place at the Bombay Pavilion directly after the burial. Mrs. Zerella was born May 15th, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Morris Brokaw and Dorothy Lustbader. Leta married her high school sweetheart, Carmine Zerella, who passed in 1999. Leta’s greatest passion was caring for her family: the love, devotion and wittiness she provided will always live in us all. Mrs. Zerella is survived by her sister, Shirley Jaffe of NY; her brother Max Brokaw of FL; her two sons, Carmine Zerella of Kentucky and Kenneth Zerella of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Diana Dawson of Ontario and Laurie Melo Bombay, NY ; as well as her ten grandchildren, Darlene, Laurie, Kelvis, Tara, Eddie, Bobby, Hunter, Carter, Raymond, and Carmine; and thirteen great- grandchildren.
