Obituary of Charles H. Ferguson

Funeral services for Charles H. “Chuck” Ferguson, Jr., age 64, of Ogdensburg, NY, will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held at Frary Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2020. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mr. Ferguson passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Charles is survived by his three children, Katie Cryderman and her fiancé, Dennis Duford, Jr., of Ogdensburg, NY, John Ferguson and his wife, Mariah, of Winston Salem, NC and Annalise Given and her fiancé, Jeff Grenier, of Hudson, FL; two sisters, Alicia Newtown of Ogdensburg, NY and Agnes A. Ferguson of Canton, NY; four grandchildren, Natalie Lesniak, Brendan Lesniak, Dakson Duford and Dominik Given; two former brother-in-laws, David Harper of Ogdensburg, NY and Anthony (Tony) Harper of Ogdensburg, NY; a former mother-in-law, Audrey Harper of Ogdensburg, NY as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles was born on July 15, 1956, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son Charles H. and Marie L. (Gilbo) Ferguson. Charles graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1974. He married the former Wanda Harper in 1979. The marriage later ended in divorce. Charles was first employed at the Ogdensburg Dairy Queen until its closing. He then worked at Sperling's furniture until its closing. Charles then began his employment at ACCO International Brands in Ogdensburg as a forklift operator, retiring after thirty years of service. Charles loved fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and bowling. He took great pride in training new fork lift operators, always stressing safety first.
