Obituary of Cathy Marie LaPage

Cathy Marie LaPage age 66, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, hospice and most importantly her angel nurse/ granddaughter Alicia Otis. A funeral service will be held at Saturday November 28, 2020 at 1PM, calling hours will be held prior from 10AM-1PM. A burial at the Old St. Mary's Cemetery in Bombay, NY will follow the service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Spaulding Funeral Home in Malone, NY. Cathy was born on June 11, 1954 to the late Stanley LaPage and Elizabeth Gardner in Malone, NY. She attended Salmon River Central School. Cathy worked as a nurses aid at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena, NY. She worked at Massena Central School as an environmental specialist. After departing the work industry Cathy opened her home to fostering children in need. Cathy lived with her lifelong partner Tony Durant. She is also survived by her former husband Rodney Curran Sr. Cathy enjoyed baking, canning, playing pogo games on her computer, reading, and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren. Cathy is survived by her son, Rodney and Jessica Curran Jr. of Raymondville, NY; her four daughters Diane and Jim Roberts of Massena, NY, Denise Curran of Malone, NY, Donna Holloway and her companion Ronald LaRoque of Malone, NY, Melanie Curran of Brushton, NY; stepdaughter, Rebecca Dyke of New Bedford, MA; one brother, Ronald LaPage of Brushton, NY; two sisters, Donna and Bruce Cartier of Moria, NY and Vicky LaPage of Chateaugay, NY; sister- in- law Carol LaPage of Malone, NY; a step-sister Velvet LaBrake and her companion Jeff Love of Massena, NY; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren along with twin “peanuts” due May ’21; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cathy is predeceased by her parents; a step- father, George LaBrake; her two brothers, Richard and Bruce LaPage; three sisters, Sharlene Donahue, Pat Delosh, and Bonnie Patnode; a step brother Vince LaBrake; and a step sister, Tammy Bennett. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the North Country.
