Obituary of Joseph Dupra
Norman Joseph “Joe” Dupra Sr. 85, of Malone, NY passed away at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY on November 10, 2020. Services will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary- Spaulding Funeral Home.
Mr. Dupra is survived by his wife Carolyn Dupra; four sons, Nelson, John, Ronald and Donald Dupra; two daughters, PeggySue Dupra and Vickie Dupra-Warf; four brothers, James (Dixie) Dupra, Augustus (Shirley) Dupra, Steven Dupra ; his two sisters Olive Teryer, Edith (Richard) Hammond; seven grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in death by wife SallyAnn Sancomb Dupra; his son Norman Joseph Dupra Jr; brother Kenneth (Sharon) Dupra, John Dupra; four sisters, Elizabeth Langley, Thelma Sancomb, Shirley Taylor, and Debra Dupra.
Joe was born on January 17, 1935 in Westville, NY to Augustus Dupra and Olive Martin. Joe worked most of his life as a mechanic and had his own mechanic business. In his retirement years he worked as a bus driver for North Star Industries in Malone, NY. He was not only a mechanic but a jack of all trades. Joe lived in many states, enjoyed watching western movies, cooking, and fishing. He was known for his wittiness and great sense of humor, telling a great joke to make everyone laugh was something you could always look forward to.
