Obituary of Shirley Ann Costello

Shirley Ann (Childs) Costello, 81, of North Bangor died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in Malone. A service will be held at Frary- Spaulding Funeral Home on Tuesday October 13, 2020 at 1PM with Rev. Bentley McQuinn officiating. Visitation will be held prior from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. A burial will take place at a later date at the North Bangor Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary- Spaulding Funeral Home. Shirley was born on December 29, 1938 in North Bangor, NY to Roy and Alice Todd Childs. On August 3, 1963, Shirley married John Costello in New York City. Mrs. Costello worked as a Registered Nurse at Manhattan Psychiatric Center in New York City. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, and social networking. Shirley is survived by her son, John Costello; daughter Cecilia Styles and her fiancé David of Endicott; brothers, John, Gene, Bob, Gerry, Gordon, Lynn, and Walter Childs; sisters, Gail Cook, Gloria Foster, and Joelle McCune; her granddaughter Katy, many nieces and nephews, and her dog and cats. Mrs. Costello was pre-deceased by Delbert and Carolyn Childs.
