Obituary of Michael A. Savino

Michael A. Savino, age 77, of Liverpool, NY and formerly of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Frary Funeral Home in Ogdensburg, NY from 1:00PM until 3:00PM with military honors. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Spring. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 11, 2020 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the Clay Sportsman Club in Clay, NY. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; children, Patricia Toll and her husband, Eric, Tony Savino and his wife, Monica and Tim Toscano, all of Liverpool, NY; a sister, Lee Lounsbury and her husband, Dan, of Lacona, NY; a brother, Bob Savino and his wife, Vicki, of Morristown, NY; a sister-in-law, Barbara Savino of Florida; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, J. Frederick Savino. Michael was born on September 23, 1942, in Milford, CT, the son of Frederick and Evelyn A. (Bates) Savino. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1961. Michael later enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1965. He married Lorraine (McIntyre)Toscano on April 8,1983, in Liverpool, NY. Mr. Savino was employed with General Electric in Syracuse, NY and later retired from Lockheed Martin in Liverpool as an electronic technician. Michael enjoyed repairing old tools in his spare time and also volunteering at the American Legion.
