Obituary of Matthew James McIntosh
Matthew J. McIntosh, age 72, of Harrisville, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at his home under the care of his loving family and Hospice. Per his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Harrisville.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Judy McIntosh; two sons, Matthew McIntosh, Jr. and his wife, April, of Fowler, NY and Eric McIntosh of Harrisville, NY; a daughter, Tammy McIntosh of Harrisville, NY; three brothers; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Florence McIntosh; his grandson, Darrin Michael McIntosh; and five brothers and five sisters.
Matthew was born on June 10, 1947, in Gouverneur, NY, the son of Everett and Florence Ralph McIntosh. He graduated from Gouverneur High School. Matthew married Judy Fowler on July 5th, 1968, at the Harrisville Methodist Church. Mr. McIntosh was employed at New York Air Brake in Watertown, NY, until his retirement.
Mr. McIntosh enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering in the garage. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
