Obituary of Douglas Arthur Hanley

Douglas A. Hanley, age 79, of Redwood, NY, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Hospice of Jefferson County in Watertown, NY. Per his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Sandra Lynn Hanley; a son, Christopher Hanley of Redwood, NY;

Douglas was born on February 14, 1940, in Yonkers, NY, the son of Arthur and Katherine (Burrows) Hanley. He graduated from Douglas entered the United States Army in 1958 and retired in 1986. During his service he was recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal, among many others. Mr. Hanley married Sandra Lynn Shafto. Douglas was the Chief of Physical Security for the United States Military in Fort Drum, NY.
