Obituary of Thomas P. Hess, Sr.

Funeral services for Thomas P. Hess, Sr., age 55, of Ogdensburg, will be held on Sunday, October 20th, 2019, at 4:00PM at Frary Funeral Home with Deacon Dave Demers officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Frary Funeral Home on 515 Caroline Street on Sunday, October 20th, 2019. Thomas passed away at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas is survived by his children, Brandi Lamay and her husband, Jason, of Ogdensburg, NY, Tommy Hess, Jr. and his wife, Samantha, of Ogdensburg, NY, Jake Hess and his wife, Autum, of Ogdensburg, NY; three sisters, Mary Hawkins, and her husband, Kevin, of Chase Mills, NY, Anne Marie Moulton, and her husband, William, of Melbourne, FL and Helen Spring of Potsdam, NY; two brothers, William Hess, and his wife, Cindy, of Florida, Timothy Hess and his wife, Chris, of Florida; eight grandchildren, Gavin, Jace, Christian, and Delia Lamay and Graham Hess, Mason Hess, Carter Hess and Caroline Hess and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Hess; a sister, Katherine Lenhart, in 2010 and a brother, Howard M. Hess in 2014.

Thomas was born on January 24, 1964, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of William and Mary Stark Hess. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1984. Thomas was employed by Ron Letham’s Ice, Pepsi and New York State Department of Transportation, retiring after twenty-one years.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, loved to cook and enjoyed socializing and entertaining friends.
