Obituary of Elizabeth MacDonald

Elizabeth MacDonald, age 90, of 1005 New York State Route 3, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at C.V.P.H Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. Born in Great Neck, New York on July 22, 1918, she was the daughter of Frederick and Sophie (Miller) Donohue. She married Claude MacDonald on March 22, 1942 in Great Neck, New York. Mrs. MacDonald had been a resident of Saranac Lake since 1962 coming from East North Port, LI. She loved flowers and gardening, cooking, baking, and loved music. She is survived by her husband Claude, one son William MacDonald and his wife Alice of Walla Walla, WA; two daughters Barbara Cartier and her husband Jerome of Bloomingdale, NY and Carol Seymour and her husband Kevin of Vermontville, NY; 9 grandchildren Elizabeth, Hannah & William MacDonald, Kyle & Kristin Seymour, Jeffrey Cartier, Tammy, Cherie & James MacDonald and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and one son James MacDonald. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced at the funeral home. Friends wishing to remember Elizabeth MacDonald may make memorial contributions to Saranac Lake Vol. Fire Dept.
