Obituary of Geraldine Mae Jones

OBITUARY TUPPER LAKE- Geraldine Mae Jones,75, of Tupper Lake died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her home. Born on April 5, 1933 in Conifer, she was the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Meacham) Barton. Geraldine attended local schools and was employed at the Dress Factory until it's closure. She went on to work as a Home Health Aide for North Country Home Services. Geraldine was a member of the VFW women's auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter; Rebecca Bracken of Middle Grove, NY, two sons; Ronald and Michael both of Tupper Lake, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Richard Barton of Saranac Lake, two sisters, Shirley Severance of Colton and Gladys Ferry of Watertown. She was pre-deceased by her longtime companion Richard Gonyea in November 1997. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 21 from 12 noon �" 2 pm with a funeral service being held at 2pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the dialysis unit at Adirondack Medical Center.
