Obituary of Virginia Cheney

TUPPER LAKE- Virginia G. Cheney, 73, of Tupper Lake, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born on May 9, 1935 in Conifer, NY, she was the daughter of Lynn and Margaret (Jones) Cheney. Virginia was a graduate of Tupper Lake High School in 1953. On January 8, 1956 she married Robert Arsenault. He died in September 2005. Virginia and her family relocated to the Orlando, Florida area in 1971. She was employed by Florida Amusements retiring as office manager in 2001 and moved to Ashville, NC. In May of this year she had returned to Tupper Lake. She is survived by six daughters; Diane Marie Arsenault of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Cathy Pioch and her husband Bill of Ashville, NC, Karen Davis of Ocoee, Florida, Mary-Jo Savage of Orlando, Ginny Bell and her husband Roy of Apopka, Florida, Bobbi Tellez of Orlando, 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Elaine Cheney of Tupper Lake. She was pre-deceased by one daughter Donna Spicer and two brothers Darwin and Carlton. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 17 from 4 to 5 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. A funeral service will be held at 5pm with the Rev.
